Hi Bill, could you please give me the authorization to use on my website www.compassmuseum.com some of your pictures of the John E. Hand compass (Mk 1 Mod 0) displayed on your website. I will of course indicate the copyright of your choice. Many thanks in advance. Regards. Jean-Patrick

I own a Waltham Type A-17, MIL-W-6433, MFR's Part # 10616-CS-12-24, MFR's S/N AF-52-41353. of all the pics of this type of watch that is posted on your site, it looks similar, but not exact.
Can you give me an approx MFR's date of the piece?

I have a Chronosport UDT that I purchased back in 1983. Still have the original box but need a manual. Do you have any idea as to where I might be able to find one if at all possible?
Thanks for any info

Don - please check your email.

Haellecourt - please use the link provided in the review of the book to Blurb.com. They actually print and ship the book directly.

Keith - there were indeed many makers of Bonklip style bracelets; while all of this style bracelet are refered to as Bonklip, really only the Bonklip conpamy has rights to that name.

Ashkan - I suggest a second watchmaker (without actually seeing the watch I really can't help in regard to its timekeeping)

Andrew - I'm not sure if the "black" you refer to is PVD coating or not; if it is the only person I know that provides this service is IWW: http://www.industrialwatchworks.com/

Hope this help and kind regards,

Billy

I inherited my dads 1945 military bumper omega with what looks like a bonklip bracelet. The difference is it does not say "bonklip" on the catch just "stainless". Was there another manufacturer?. For your interest my father and now me has worn this watch every day for the past 64 years so it shows the quality of this type of strap

Dear Billy, your site has valuable info . I have two question and appreciate to reply me.
I have one old benrus ultra deep ( not typeI/II A/B) there is no sign of R or T to show about radioactive luminus dial and hands.
is it dangerous?? my second question, No watchmaker can adjust it and it usually runs 1 minute faster every 24 hours.
How can i fix it?? regards.

I just got an Oakley Blade 2, Stealth Black, and some of the "black" is scratched off on one side of the bracelet. How would I go about restoring it? Is there some kind of paint I can use? Does anyone know how they make it black in the first place?
