Story: To hell with the devil artwork

Brian Ayuso was the original artist of the very cool angel cover art from the album “To hell with the devil”, formerly another artist designed a cover for the album but Engima decided that it was to “pretty” and used Brian´s cover idea instead.
The album artwork would prove to be too much for Christian retailers to carry and the Angel art version would be banned by Christian outlets. As a result a plain black cover version would quickly be produced and pushed out to the market and the Angel Art cover would be deleted forever. While they were deleted quite a few records, tapes and CDs did make it out in to circulation. You can easily pick an album or tape up on ebay at any time. Even the CDs are available but are a little bit pricier then the vinyl or tape version. There were also a very few 8 tracks pressed but never released. There are a handful of these out there but VERY few and they are already swallowed up by serious collectors. In 2000 Michael Sweet would release a very limited edition pressing of 1000 more of the Angel Artwork CD through his own Michael Sweet Productions Company. (MSPCD-773)
Many people have wondered and speculated about the cover and what it actually meant...
The cover consisted of four angels and the devil dressed as a rock musician.
These four angels were suspended over the “Abyss” ensnaring the devil with chains, breaking his guitar and sending him down in to the pits of hell.

Tim is the angel tearing off the pentagram

Mike breaks the guitar

Oz holding the chain

Robert is shining the “light of truth” upon the musician exposing him as the devil.
