Thoughts from the Road

"You May Be Gone, But You Are Not Forgotten"

Ghost Rider

By: Bob Bryant

There is no such thing as a solo ride

I believe biker spirits ride by our sides

Brothers and sisters of days bygone

Keep us from ridin’ the highway alone

The brotherhood feelin’ I believe they crave

It’s a feelin’ that frees them from their grave

Sets their soul roaming todays highways

Often times leading us on rides we take

When a strange road is taken, reason unknown

Follow the ghost rider, he won’t lead you wrong

He’ll show you sights you wouldn’t normally see

If you listen as the wind beacons “ Come follow me”

There is nothing to fear when their presence is there

As they ride the wind with us, free of cares

So as you take the turn that will lead you home

Remember the ghost rider as he goes on alone

ALONE YOU RIDE

By : Bob Bryant

As he rode through the night

Beneath the starlit sky

The twinkle made him think

Of the sparkle in her eyes

He thought of her awesome smile

On those long summer rides

He’d see it in the mirror

As her arms embraced his side

The wheat fields freely blowing

Reminded him of her hair

It was long and lightly golden

Blowing in the southern air

Then suddenly to the present

The engines rumble bought him back

He looked in the mirror

Her smile replaced with night’s black

He’d never again be able to feel

  The embrace of her arms

For the days as he remembered

He knew now were forever gone

Destiny makes no promises

He realized this the day she died

The day his destiny told him

From this day forth, alone, you ride

Tribute To A Fallen Brother

By: Bob Bryant

There is a certain pride

To a biker from the South

His soul shines through in his actions

Also the words that come from his mouth

The people that he truly loves

They are often very few

But they all know who they are

They know for them the things he’ll do

He will be there for his children

No matter what the cost

He’ll also be there for his woman

When she needs him most

He’s there for his brothers and his sisters

With a quick joke and a brew

He’s also there when all they need

Is just someone to talk to

There are few men like this

Weather you search far or wide

It is a terrible tragedy

When a Brother like this, takes his final ride

But a man such as this

Even after he is gone

Has not left you alone at all

Cause his spirit will carry on

He’ll be there when you wake up

On a bright sunny, summer day

His memories will always make you smile

When your world has turned to gray

There’s pain in your heart now

cause you’ll never again hear him say

“Come on Cheer the hell up man”

Or

“Let’s roll some miles away”

But know when you roll out

To take off for a ride

He’ll be  there beside you

His spirit riding by your side

Know that your brother

On heavens roads will now roll

On his brand new Harley

That he fabricated from heaven’s gold

Then just think of the day

That you will see him again

He’ll be at the gates to welcome us home

Wearing that Big Ol’ Southern Grin

  ANGEL OF DEATH

By : Bob Bryant

The Angel of Death

He is a loner at heart

He travels alone

Take you away through the dark

Sometimes he appears quickly

As if out of nowhere

Sometimes he looms around

You know for months that he’s there

He robs women of their husbands

Children of their dads

It seems to be his days bright spot

When he leaves someone feeling sad

You can’t pay him off with money

You can’t scare him away

He’ll rob you of your very life

He works both night and day

So as you ride your scooter

Keep in your heart the people you love

Because one “I didn’t see him” cager

Can bring death’s Angel from above

“Not Meant To Be”

By : Bob Bryant

He knelt on one knee

The crowd was all gone

This was his woman

God had called her home

He spoke his final words

Tears setting in his eyes

It had never been so hard

To say the words “Good Bye”

He said “ If you hear me “

“And I know you do”

“I’ll never love again”

“My heart is true to you”

“You’ve left me to early”

“No fault of your own”

“But I can’t blame God”

“For wanting you to come home”

“Heaven will be lucky”

“To have you home again”

“But I’ll miss you behind me”

“Smiling in the wind”

“So when my time is over”

”Be there waiting on me”

“Together we’ll ride heaven’s roads”

“Good bye’s not meant to be”

You Touched Me More In Two Months " LITTLE MAN"

Than Most Will In A Lifetime

"LITTLE MAN"

There are times in life when no words can be found

As you try to stand tall, yet your tears hit the ground

We have all shared this over the last few days

As we cried, asked why, and yes, all even prayed

Words sent to heaven from each of us I’m sure

Some of us telling God, “We can’t take much more”

We know not the reason some things happen as they do

We can only rely on each other to pull through

I know the saying, “There is a reason for all things”

Yet those words feel empty when mixed with such pain

As we gather here today, not understanding God’s plan

We feel helpless and alone without our “Little Man”

Trenton Ryder I’ll miss you, for the rest of my days

You’ll be with me as I,  work, sleep, or play

I’ll also remember every time I look at my hands

For a while they held an Angel, I came to know as “Little Man”

I'll Miss You “Little Man”
