My NJ Renumbering scheme + New Routes

New Route

Old Route/Description of New Route

US 1

US 1

US 1&9 Truck

US 1&9 Truck

NJ 2

NJ 49, US 130, NJ 171 up to Sandford St., Commercial Ave. between Sandford St. and NJ 18

NJ 3

NJ 3 west of 495, NJ 495 east of 3. In addition, the route 3 designation would continue through the Lincoln Tunnel, the Mid-Manhattan Expressway in NY which should be built, the Queens-Midtown Tunnel, and the LIE (the existing NY 3 would be renumbered). Now this is really pushing it, but the Orient Point-Watch Hill Bridge should be built along with an LIE eastern extension. If all that happens, then the whole thing can become I-495 again, and 3 would end at 495. J

NJ 4

NJ 4 east of 208, NJ 208

NJ 5

NJ 5

NJ 6

New route. Ties in to DE 6 via a bridge between Sea Breeze NJ and Woodland Beach DE, and be a freeway south and east of Vineland east to my proposed NJ 14 freeway; east of there the road continues east to NJ 72 in the Long Beach Island area as a four-lane road. Of course, DE 6 would also be upgraded to a freeway between the bridge and DE 1. NOTE: I would like to see an extension of Interstate 70 into NJ. If that happens, I-70 would run along this road from the new Delaware Bay bridge to my proposed NJ 14 freeway, and on NJ 14 from here to the Parkway. The surface road between NJ 14 and NJ 72 would be numbered NJ 6.
