We meet monthly for informal meetings and some light-hearted
bibliobanter. New people are always welcome. Our average number per
meeting is staying pretty constant at 4-6, but the faces change
frequently. Still hoping to get the numbers up. A more focused
campaign next year may yield results. We'll see.
February meeting of the Bibliophiles of Oklahoma, follows the 30th
Annual Friends of the Metro Library book sale at the fair grounds in
OKC. If you've not attended the Metro FOL sale, it's huge. Easily,
the most books for sale at any one time in the state. I will be in
attendance Friday night for the "members only" night, so if you see me,
don't be a stranger! I'll also go Saturday, and knowing me, I'll stop
by again Sunday.
So, the meeting will be SATURDAY evening, at 6pm. Or close to
it. The book sale ends at 5:30pm on Saturday, and since we will all
need some refreshmenting by then...
Join
us for refreshing public house fare and boasting over our FOL Sale
finds. I found a delightful watering hole for our gathering. James E.
