09 - 10 Productions
Okay... so High School Musical, Waltz of the Torreodors, Blithe Spirit and Cats didn't make the final cut. But.... it will still be a good season.
Actually.... it is going to be utterly FANTASTIC from beginning to end!
Due to the intense rehearsal/performance schedule, we may actually hold auditions BEFORE school starts. So, don't miss audition announcements. Fall Musical
This show will mark the first performance of the school edition in a public school within our 6 state area!
The cast will feature 15 - 25 students and will be directed by Randy Day. With an ambitious show and upcoming season, auditions MAY be held during the end of the summer months, so be sure to watch for announcements!
The show opens in November and will run for 3 weekends.
Fall Play
In what will mark a repoiratory performance every other year, this family friendly play will be one of the largest plays staged on the Mraz Center stage in years.
Directed by Terry Walters, this show will feature a very large cast and the driving demand for many stellar male performers.
The show opens in December.
Winter Play
Watch a farce about a farce as a company puts on a production from the onstage and offstage vantage points.
Directed by Terry Walters, this play will take the stage in February and run for two weeks.
Spring Musical
A staple of American theatre, this fun musical features a carnivorus venus fly trap singing to a 50's beat.
The show will feature a smaller cast under the direction of Randy Day. It will run for three weeks in April.
Showcase
Directed by Bryan Fisher, Showcase is a fully staged variety show featuring the dynamic vocal, dance and musical talents of Burnsville High School students.
It features the unified talents of the theatre guild, band department, choir department and dance students.
This is one of the largest shows to take our stage and will run in May. Watch for audition information early in the year.
Summer Musical
Our annual all-ages summer theatre event will feature a modern classic with performers of all ages and all backgrounds.
We are fortunate to appear on the Burnsville Performing Arts Center stage for our 09 summer show - Sweeney Todd - and will hopefully be performing there again for this show.
While we have explored Beauty & the Beast as our likely choice to launch the 50th season, in light of the opportunities created with Sweeney Todd, the directors are exploring other exciting titles. Stay tune for final show confirmation.
