Album Title: Buddha's Pest

Album Artist: The Mongols

Review:    After Ely Buendia released his solo album, 'Wanted Bedspacer', he created a band that mattered, but not for a long time. This album was released last 2004, though it was not really a hit in the Philippines. The Mongols was not a well known band, though some of the people in our city listen to them.If you gave albums by Eraserheads a twist, then you may stuck these in your player. Former Eraserheads member Ely Buendia started the band after he left Eheads. This album includes the song Bulakbol, and Teka Muna, and Pony, which Yan Yuzon(guitarist) sang. Though some of the songs here, when its your first time hearing it, you may find it unpleasant, but prontoing it for at least five times may help. All songs you can relate on, a total of 12 pure tracks in it. It still sounds eheads-like, but more pleasant and has a taste for modern rock-pop music. This may still sound like 'Carbon Stereoxide', the Eraserheads last album, from all the sound effects and noise before a song starts( example; the track 'Keeper' starts with an annoying noise, then the guitars follow).Though,Carbon Stereoxide has tracks in it which contain sound effects only, making it more annoying, though when you are not in the mood, you'll find it twinky. This album costs 350.00 though an affordable price that yourwallet can reach. Its back cover includes the band member's pics with a baby sitting by them. As they say it, cd's are big things in a small neat package. Though its 'pest', youll still enjoy this indie-like album, probably this is the band's first, or only album. They are not just the typical pencils that you may be familiar of, or even the strong warriors of China, nor the people with similar faces.

Album Title: Beverly Craven

Album Artist: Beverly Craven

My uncle bought it around year 1992...though he left it in our house. This cd came all the way from US, but thank God he left it( around 10 cds) in our attic. It reminds me of the 90's ballads, like the song " Promis Me" w/ a „© sign in it. Though you are not familiar with Beverly...im sure youve heard this wonderful piece. It was always played in the radio like it was a hit...but now its played during saturday night feedbacks..etc. "Woman To Woman" really reflects the 90's techno...or probably pop. I love listening to it though its like weird. " Memories" pretty sounds like the promise me song, the same speed. Beverly also plays the keyboards in her album, less percussions ( but there is) and back up vocals. Really a 90's collectible...
