Background Information 

She was born in India. She started her childhood education from S.t Anthony’s Convent school, Gorakhpur and accomplished her high school, intermediate from Carmel Girl’s Inter College. In B.A she ranked third in the Gorakhpur University, India and received scholarship for two years

She was born in a middle class family where her father Prof Ashok kumar Saxena is a  great adherent, admirer of Gandhian ideologies Her father is  the chairman of psychology deptt in.D.D .U Gorakhpur University and he is  the author of the famous book "Arjuna's Depression:A Cognitive Analysis"s a milestone commentary on Gita by a psychologist.He motivated the author to explore her talent through writings. So she was fascinated towards Gandhi and decided to work on him .Her mother Geeta Saxena is a highly educated, sophisticated woman who imparted all her practical, aesthetic virtues in her. She was always accompanied by her younger sister Srishti, emotionally who evaluates the author's work without any Bias. Her brother Prateek is a strong, sustaining, supporting pillar for her and needed always. She was highly impressed with her Grand mother Late Padma Saxena who patted her throughout the life on every small or big victory and showered the blessing on the author. Her cousins Maneesh and Yuvraj taught the basic knowledge of computers.

The author is deeply indebted to her Guide and supervisor Dr. Vineeta Pathak who is a serious and ardent student of Gandhi. It was owing to her stimulation that the author was attracted to study Gandhi. She incessatly encouraged her in this research endeavor by offering insightful annotations and suggestions. But for her co-operation and guidance, the work would not have taken its present contour.

Prof. S.K Jha, deserves author's special gratitude. It was Prof. Jha, who was then Prof and Head of Department of Political Science (D.D.U University of Gorakhpur) who asked to write more on Gandhi.Author cannot forget the  treasured lectures given by Late Prof.Nagendra Pathak to her during her Research work.

  Prof C.B Singh, Dr.Meera bhataacharya, Dr late Dinesh Singh, Dr.rajesh singh, Prof Indradev,Dr.Rajnikant,Dr.ManojSingh,Dr.Bharatbhushan,Dr.Huma Javed,Dr.Harsh Sinha,Dr.Nevedita Sahai, Sister Alexandra, Mrs Kamini, were the teachers who believed in the author's work always and valued with their positive remarks.  

 Now she is married and staying in Los Angeles (CA) with her son Vatsalya and her husband Alok Varma who is the inspirational key source of every thing in her life. By profession he is a consultant in an American Firm (LA) but by the temperament and spirit he does belong to a Prof's family.Alok as  a friend provides congenial and affable atmosphere for the author to do her job. The author’s father –in law Dr.O.P Verma is a renowned and a profound Retd. Prof in Maths who appreciated her work always. He has been admired as an honest and remarkable person in the field of education.Her mother-in law Snehlata Verma is a Rational Homemaker and in the role of a torch bearer for the author.Author’s brother-in laws Vivek, Lokesh, Anjeev, Sandeep, Puneet and Siddharth are the people who encouraged and boosted her morale time to time. Her sister-in law Alka gives all the elderly love on every achievement .Parul is the one who specifically insisted the author to become a published author. Monika the youngest member of the house is a close friend of the author as she discusses all the forthcoming plans with her. The author is gifted by the enormous gift of friendship.Her childhood friend Seema always remind the author about her potentials and writing skills as herself she is a Gold medalist.

  

 Accomplishments

  Besides an author she has deep interest in Paintings. She was a vigorous member of “Prayas Art Group” .She exhibited her oil paintings and won “Lalit Kala National Award” for the painting named “India after 50 years” Her essays were published in national Newspaper “Rashtriya Sahara”.Meghnaad Saha : a legend” was the most appreciated one. Making sketches on legends is her passion and in this category  her articles has been published on pandit Madan Mohan Malviya,Radha Krishnan, Rajiv Gandhi,Eintein,Karl Marx, mother Teresa, Swami Vivekananda in a leading career magazine called “Competition success Review” .A play “T.V interview of Yamraaj” written by the author was been played by the college students. She delivered Radio talk On UNO day, SAARC, Indian Constitution, Relevance of Non-Align movement, Third world countries. She was interviewed On T.V after receiving the gold medal on the topic “Future of a Gold medalist.”She won Vivekanand prize for her sketches made on the topic " faces of Poverty". She won a state level prize for an essay “Bali”.Also won prize in "India Today" General knowledge  competition. She is a music composer. Writing Lyrics on 'Patriotism' is her first picking. The author is a B –Hi artist and holds a certificate for Audio video screen test. She is a teacher by profession and has 7 years of experience.

 

 Additional Information

  She obtained her Masters degree in Political Science 1999 from D.D.U Gorakhpur University, U.P India. She was awarded Gold medal as she topped the list of successful candidates. She earned her PhD on the topic Mahatma Gandhi in 2002 from D.D.U Gorakhpur University. Besides her deep interest in Gandhian thought she is an amateur artist and has much interest in cultural pursuits. Now days during her stay as a house wife in Los angeles (LA). She is busy in writing a book on Indian folklores specially Panchatantra to teach Practical wisdom to Children. She is working as a Volunteer in an adult school and also in a  "Centre for the studies of Political Graphics (CSPG)".

  Her aspiration in her life is to pass this torch of acquaintance to  her little ones Akash,Saloni,Vatsalya,Tanay, and Naman.
