Here's the context of speech given by our darling 
daughter NANDITA, 
on the occasion of our SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Celebrations...
Beloved Mummy & Papa, Respected elders, my dear friends & Well-wishers,
Good-Evening!
My parents have been married for 25 years. Their marriage is a wonderful example of endurance. They have survived many obstacles and through all of this, their marriage is still strong. Through all of the ups and downs - they always come out on top! It is evident to all that know that their marriage has all of the basic ingredients needed: Love, Trust, Patience, Communication and a lasting friendship!
They have dedicated much of their time and lives to look after me and my needs. They have always been the kind of parents that my friends envied me for. They haven't only been parents; they have always been friends to me. I am very excited that Almighty God has granted this silver opportunity to reciprocate through this lovely get-together and let them know how much I love them and appreciate all that they have done for me, Also how proud of them I am that they've made it 25 years!
Mummy & Papa, Hearty Congratulations on your shining silvery 25 years of marriage, and I wish that you celebrate the next 25. May your Silver turn to Gold. On this joyful occasion, I am reciting a poem as a token of my love -
Oh my dear Mummy and Papa,
these words are just for you,
because I'm proud of who you are,
and I'm very proud of what you do.
I know that your journey hasn't been easy,
and at times, it's been more like a roller coaster ride,
but I know I couldn't have chosen finer parents,
I know I couldn't - even if I had tried.
I feel so lucky to be part of our family,
in truth, I feel like the luckiest child on Earth,
and in our short time together, I know your value,
yes, I know exactly what my parent's love is really worth.
And they say that all good things come to those who wait,
well, let me tell you, you're the parents I've been waiting for,
and guess what? I already know you're rather special,
and what we share, will keep us believing, for evermore...
Mummy & Papa, on your Silver Wedding Anniversary, I looked around for the best thing to gift you, but couldn’t find any! For I realized that you already have the best – Each-other.
Before we continue this wonderful programme, I on behalf of my parents, express all our appreciation & thanks to dear Amar uncle who organized everything and took care even of the smallest detail, Ravi uncle – M.C. who has a marvellous S.O.H., Mr. Nithin – the smartest & handsome D.J. on the island and my dashing Shahnaz Aunty – an amazing combination of beauty & brains, a creative soul and last but note the least: The Palace Hotel for the food, drinks & this beautiful venue.
Distinguished Guests, thank you so much for your gracious presence and for showering your blessings on me. Please join me in praying for my parents’ long, healthy & peaceful lives.
