Warning
There will most likely be spoilers below for all those who have yet to play BG&E, so tread carefully.Beyond Good & Evil
Every once in a while, I stumble upon a hidden gem that hardly gets the recognition is truly deserves. Such is the case with Ubisoft's Beyond Good & Evil. Released in December 2003, this game made it way silently onto game shelves, where, unfortunately, it didn't sell as well as it definitely should have. However, from those few gamers that gave BG&E a shot, only praise and words of encouragement were heard. It is truly a shame that this game did not sell better, because as of now, what would have been an amazing trilogy, has been cut down to one amazing game. Where's our sequel Ubisoft?Capture the Truth
In BG&E, you play as Jade, a photo-journalist residing on the planet called Hillys. Hillys, as you soon discover, is constantly under attack by monstrous aliens known as the DomZ. Hundreds upon thousands of the population are disappearing daily, and all hope rests on the shoulders of the Alpha Sections, the military of the planet. However, not everything is as it appears. The Alpha Sections are really never there to stop the attacks, and the population continues to steadily decrease. What's really going on? That's where Jade comes in. You are soon a part of a secret underground organization known as the Iris Network, who are trying to exposing the conspiracy that the population is blissfully unaware of. As the new recruit, you'll be using your handy camera and Dai-jo stick to gather information and capture the truth. And along the way, you'll discover more about yourself than you ever knew.Just talking about the game does not do it justice. I highly recommend picking BG&E up, and experience the magic for yourself. ;D
Why make a fanlisting?
Beyond good & Evil is a game that needs more recognition, and Ubisoft needs a good ol' wake up call. I know there are fans out there, and perhaps listing them all might help Ubisoft see that we truly want a sequel. It seems like a silly idea, but every little bit of effort counts. So, here's hoping this fanlisting gets a lot of fans! :DRedemption?
Welcome to Version 1 of the BG&E fanlisting.Redemption came from the final track on the soundtrack. I'm not sure whether or not it's the official title of the song or not, but it certainly fits anyway.
