Classic Hoover Emporium.

Celebrating 100 years of HOOVER.

1908 - 2008.

This site covers hoovers cleaners in the UK from 1945 to 1980, and hopefully portays accurately the changes in fashions and also the developments and improvements made to what have to be the best cleaners available.

A companion site to THE VINTAGE HOOVER EMPORIUM (http://www.freewebs.com/vintagehoover), this is a source of information to the collector, and hopefully informative and entertaining to anyone who happens by. The information within these pages is by no means exhaustive, but is mostly representative of my own personal collection, with a few of the machines I am missing included anyway!

My collection is mostly made up of Hoover upright vacuum cleaners from 1930 till 1980. My pre war machines include my models 750, 800, 370 and an early example of the 375.

I have not included these in detail on here as the pre-war machines are detailed in The Vintage hoover Emporium (which was the inspiration for this site).

This is a work in progress and is taking far longer than I ever imagined as there is so much I want to do but never seem to have the time, and so I hope that over the coming months that I will have a work worthy of being called a sister site to the VINTAGE HOOVER EMPORIUM.
