First, I will tell you about where we live!
On The Mighty Murray River.
The Mallee of Victoria, Australia ... a place of enchantment, of mystery and history. A place you will never forget if you visit. And never want to leave if you stay over a day for The Mallee is commonly known as 'The Sunset Country'.
The word Mallee comes from one of the local Aboriginal languages, and was used to describe the eucalyptus trees with multi-stemmed trunks growing from ligno-tubers.
This is the home of the Mallee Fowl; the home of the Mallee Orchid; the home of contented people and priceless beauty.
A land of enchantment rich in aboriginal history.
Many years ago the Djadjuwurung Aboriginals roamed this land. Their tribal lands reached for many miles. With simple lifestyles they lived supreme. Today, their middens lie in the ground as silent witnesses to their supremecy. The ancient earth echoes sounds of their corroborees ... and gives up secrets of their past. Today, their descendants live in harmony with we, the descendants of the 'White Settlers'. Their ancient middens are cared for on private property for in these, they cooked their food for centuries. Around these, they sang and chatted, made primitive tools, and built their mia mia's. The ancient trees also bear witness to their very being. Scarred from the cuts where ancient stone axes spliced bark from the trees to build a boat, or whatever they needed in order to live.

A land we quiet people of the Mallee may never never want to leave. And if we do, we may ever ever want to come back to see our land for it is a land we can never ever forget.

God's Hand sweeps across a timeless Land. A magnificent Land of sparking stars at night and glorious huge moons. A Land filled with Billabongs and lush habitation as well as desert.

A Little About me.
I am a widow and have been for several years. It doesn't bother me now as I see God at work in my life daily. I have always loved God, and Jesus and always will.
Nope, I don't know what it's like to go to the Theatre, nor to fancy restaurants - and I don't give a darn about them as I am happy the way I am, away from the maddening crowd. I like to write, oil paint, write poetry, embroider garden and entertain my own friends. I am also a Photographer as you can see by the photo's.
My friends in the mallee are no diferent to me - and how we are is how we want to stay. They can have their cities and multiculturalism. We'll stay in the bush and remain happy! We know we are safe!
"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light." -Ephesians 5:12-13
