These stars can be used for a myriad of things. Use them as coasters. (The cotton will absorb any moisture coming from cold drinks);Use them as appliqués on hand towels, a denim vest, a purse, or pillows; Hang them from the ceiling with fishing line or scatter a bunch of them across a table to decorate a room; They are also a great size to use as a cloth to wash your face.
Materials: Peaches & creme 4-ply worsted weight 100% cotton yarn in 56.7g (2 oz.) balls. 1 ball color 203 Faded Glory. Size H crochet hook.
Gauge: Round 1 = 2 inches diameter.
Ch 4, sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 2dc in ring, (ch 2, 3 dc in ring) 4 times, ch 2 sl st in top of ch-3. (5 3-dc shells, 5 ch-2 sps.)
Rnd 2: Ch 3, turn. (2 dc, ch 3, 3dc) in next ch-2 sp, *ch 1, (3 dc, ch 3, 3dc) in next ch-2 sp repeat from * 3 more times. Ch 1, sl st in beg ch-3.
Rnd 3: Ch 1 turn, * 3 sc in ch-1 sp, ch 1, (hdc, dc, tr, ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch, ch 1, tr, dc, hdc) in next ch-3 sp. Ch 1, Repeat from * 4 times. Sl st in 1st sc. End off. Draw in tails. ~end~
