HTML>Betaray My Picks for the next Smash Bros.

Yes, they confirmed it: New Smash Bros. on the Revolution. And thus the fierce internet discussion over which of Nintendo's finest gets to be a playable character. I've been slowly preparing my list for years now, and now I will share it with you all.

Pit (Kid Icarus)

Pit's absense in Melee was the my biggest dissapointment in the game (but that hasn't stopped it from becoming one of my personal favorite.) Now they have no reason to not include him the game.
Kid Icarus is Nintendo's most popular game that hasn't had a new installment in 15 years, and Pit would make an interesting character. He should have the limited flight (like Kirby and Jigglypuff), and his trademark bow. His other attacks are TBD.

Little Mac (Punch-Out!!)

Punch-Out!! (originally featuring Mike Tyson) is the best boxing game ever made, and one of the best games ever made in general. It's main character is another that Nintendo can't possibly pass over this time. A good variety is punching attacks would most likely round out his repetoire (obviously).

Wario (Mario/Wario Series)

Bizarro Mario is yet another essential. I've come to love this fat leprachaun over the last couple of years for some reason, and his games provide a bountiful number of attacks for him to use. His Blitz Charge, Dragon Cap, and crazy Piledriver are musts. He'd be slower, and much more powerful than Mario, but might share a few moves with him.

Captain Olimar (Pikmin)

Pikmin was a fairly pleasant game duo on the GC, and has quickly established itself among Nintendo's elite franchises. I imagine it's astronaut protagonist to be similar to Peach, using the yellow Pikmin as a parasol, a red or blue Pikmin to counterattack, and any of them as a throwing weapon, as well as any attacks Olimar can perform himself.

Diddy Kong (Donkey Kong Country)

Donkey's monkey nephew is pretty likely to make an appearance. He'd be small, fast, and have a variety of his techs from the DKC games, including his cartwheel.

Donkey Kong Junior (Donkey Kong Jr.)

I'd love to see both Diddy and DK Jr. in the next game, so I could beat the stuffing out of the red-capped chimp with DK's true successor. DK Jr. would probably be a smaller, lighter clone of DK, but he would still be awesome.

. Meta-Knight (Kirby Series)

This guy's a badass, which you can't really say about anything else related to Kirby. He's got that awesome mask, sword techs up the whazoo, and little demon wings. This one I'm really pushing for the next game.

King Dedede (Kirby Series)

Kirby's most frequent adversary/ally (yes, he played both), King Dedede could be an amalgm of Kirby's flight, inhale attack (although he wouldn't be able to copy), hammer, and Bowser's beatstick style.

Meowth (Pokemon)

He is the last really popular Pokemon who hasn't been used yet. Plus, Meowth is awesome.

Raichu (Pokemon)

Yes, it most cases he'd a Pikachu clone, but so what? A bigger, stronger, but slower Pikachu is a problem? Plus, he could have a few of his own moves (Thunderpunch! Thunderwave!).

Waluigi (Mario series)

If we get Bizarro Mario, why not have Bizarro Luigi as his tag-team partner? Of course, Waluigi would be more of a Luigi clone, but I'm sure they'd make him good.

Daisy (Mario series)

Yes, a Peach clone. So freaking what? I'm sure they'd make her somewhat different somehow.

Bowser Jr. (Mario series)

Yes, smaller, faster Bowser. Let's move on.

R.O.B.

The little useless Robot accessory that came with the NES would make an awesome addition to the Smash Bros. cast, if only because it is lacking in robots.

Mike Jones (Star Tropics)

An adventure game for the NES that many people remember fondly, Mike was armed with a baseball bat, a yoyo, and several other non-weapons that he used to battle monster octopuses, ghosts, and aliens. The only forseeable problem? Star Tropics was never released in Japan (D'oh!)

Samurai Goroh (F-Zero series)

Captain Falcon's rival may be a but on the pudgy side, but he's got a katana, and could even use some of Falcon's moves.

Lyndis (Fire Emblem)
The main character of the first FE to ever come over here, she'd be alot like Marth, only hopefully with a few different techs.

Takamaru (Nazo no Murasamejou)

The main character from a Japan-only NES game which was basically Legend of Zelda with samurais. And all fighting games benefit from real ronin (not fake ones like Samurai Goroh).

Anyone from Advance Wars
The characters from Advance Wars are pretty cool, unfortunately I have a hard tome figuring out how they'd work. Oh well, I'm sure they'd pull it off.

Anyone from Golden Sun

Probably main character Isaac, but it doesn't really matter. In the end, someone should represent this RPG.

From the 'Not likely' file:
Aganihm (The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past)
My favorite game in the series features this awesome wizard who'd give Ganondorf a run for his money. Too bad no one but the most hardcore care about any Zelda before Ocarina of Time...

Finally, the ones who might work, but their not my first choices:
Wolf O'Donnell (Star Fox)

Krystal (Star Fox)
King K.Rool (Donkey Kong Country)
Dixie Kong (Donkey kong Country)
Louie (Pikmin)
Black Shadow (F-Zero)
Poo (Earthbound)
Jeff (Earthbound)
The Super Punch-Out!! Boxer (Who has no name)
Any Random Fire Emblem main character (There's 4 games that haven't been used)
