Hi, I'm Beryl. Obviously. I imagine someone who was not Beryl would not have a website named Beryl's site. Maybe they would, but my point is I didn't. I really am Beryl. It's not technically my real name, but it's what many of my friends call me. So it works. I like it better than my real name, anyhow.
I'm sixteen. My main interests in life are reading, writing, and Alexander the Great. They are, if not the sum of my existance, at least a good sneak peek. I like reading mostly fantasy and historical fiction, although I'll read anything if it looks good. My favorite authors are Mercedes Lackey, Bernard Cornwell, Mary Renault, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Robin McKinley, Jasper Fforde, and Rosemary Sutcliff. There's others that I like but I can't think of them at the moment, and anyhow I don't like them as much as I like those authors. I like to write poetry and am working on a "book", although whether or not it's worthy of that title is still something I'm debating.
As for the Alexander the Great thing, basically it can be said that he's my favorite historical person and my favorite person in general. I have a Shrine devoted to him, and spend a lot of time thinking about him and talking to my friends (who generally nod and smile, even though they don't care) about him. (The link to the Shrine is repeated several places throughout my site, which is more evidence of my obsession.)
So, now that you've gotten to know who I am at least a bit, we can proceed. Proceed to what I am not sure, but there must be something to which we can proceed. I'll get back to you on that.
