In 1926 a man named Henry Groseclose helped a group of Virginia farm boys form the Future Farmers of Virginia. Soon after more of these groups started to appear across the country. The FFV was used as a model when the Future Farmers of America was formed in 1928. Ever since then FFA has grown and prospered becoming one of the largest clubs nationwide for High School students interested in agriculture. FFA is no longer Future Farmers of America. It is now known as just the National FFA Organization.
FFA helps students interested in agriculture get hands on experience in the career they wish to be in. Providing funds an scholarships for college and SAEs, Supervised Agricultural Experience, To developing leadership skills by attending competitions at regional, state, and national levels.
