Who is Bent Rod?

Bent Rod is an experimental-rock band from Winchester, Virginia.  They formed in 2001 in the basement studio of one of the band members.  On the day of this band's birth, Nag Champa burned and its sweet fumes acted as a breath of life for these two young fellows.  Ever since, Bent Rod Studio has been permeated with that unmistakable scent of Indian ecstasy during the recording of every album.  It is a ritual that is believed to fuel the souls of Bent Rod through all of their creation.

The band is:

David Linaburg:  (vocals, Imperial organ, keyboard, guitar, trumpet, and percussion)

John Black:  (vocals, percussion, keyboard, and guitar)

Lazy Fingers
On the first album, David was the main man. His talent and wit led Bent Rod through their live release with great success. His voice soothed listeners and kept them interested while he pounded out chords on the organ. His powers increased greatly by the time Revenge was recorded and it was almost to grab the attention of new fans with such songs as "The Ballad of Casanova." Email:[dclinaburg@gmail.com]

Four Lloyd
For most of the first album, John remained in the background providing mainly the strong beats that were so noticeable in such songs as "My Friend Can't Get A Kiss From A Girl (Autopsy)." It wasn't until Revenge that he began to try his hand at song writing and taking more of a vocal role in their songs. John has taken even more of an active role in the production of the band's latest work. Email: [blackiv@vt.edu]
