ABOUT BENDY'S HOME FOR HANDICAPPED CATS
Bendy kitty started his mom down the road of caring for special needs kittens and cats. Most of the cats who come here are fosters for rescue groups. Any cat that needs extra care and attention (bottle kittens, chronically ill cats, cats recovering from surgery, cats with behavorial problems, geriatric cats...) gets it here!
Some cats recover completely and go on to lead normal lives, many bottle kittens grow up into perfectly normal kittens that can move on to homes. Some cats might have a managable illness (like FeLv or FIV) or handicapp (like Whitman the three legged kitten) and can be adopted out to the right person. Other cats, however, require a LOT of time and care. Mom often keeps these cats as permanent residents. Sometimes a cat has required a lot of care, recovered, but just keeps getting overlooked and finally becomes a permanent member of our house. It can be hard to let a kitty go when you've spent months pouring all your time and attention into them!

Sammi, a kitten born with neurological problems who needed physical therapy
