Volunteer Recruitment Overview:
No experience is necessary. Anyone who is at least 16 years of age may apply for membership. You must pass a physical exam. The department will pay for this. All rules and regulations will be explained at the time of your interview. Under 18 you will need your parent(s) approval and they must accompany you to the interview. If you are still in school, a grade average of at least a "C" MUST be maintained. We will ask for a copy of your report card.
The commitment you make as a Volunteer Firefighter is not only to the Fire Department but also to the community. And this is a commitment that not only you but your family must agree upon. The hours are long, the work is dirty and the situations are hazardous. Your greatest driving force will be your Pride. If you believe you have what it takes to meet the challenges of our business, we welcome you to join us.
Stop by the station any Wednesday evening between 7:00pm - 11:00pm. or when ever the door is open. We'll be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
