INTRODUCTION

The Belvidere Pony Club was established in 1972 in the township

of Daveyston.  After several moves, the club is now located in the

shadow of Mount Belvidere near Freeling (SA), approximately

10 minutes North of Gawler, South Australia.

The club rallies are held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each

month starting at 10am, with gates open at 9am and gear

checking at 9:30am.  The rallies run from February to December,

and a Beach Camp is usually held in January.

Throughout the year, the club invites guest instructors in the areas

of Dressage, Jumping and Mounted Games.  The club also invites

specialist groups for demonstrations and instruction from various

other disciplines such as Polocrosse and Tent Pegging. The riding

members have a major input into designing the years rally program.

Members of the Belvidere PC have achieved much success in

both team and individual competitions. In recent years, Belvidere

members achieved the prestigious title of State Champions for

‘Team on the Flat’ and ‘Mounted Games’ events.

Current Belvidere members comprise of young children through

to adults, ranging from inexperienced riders to State Champions.

Their varied interests include Eventing, Showing, Mounted Games

and general Pleasure Riding.
