BeltaneRats

Beltane Rats is a small rattery near Dudley in the West Midlands. My rats are pets first and foremost. I only breed a few times a year and my aim is to breed healthy happy rats for myself and sometimes I will have kittens available to approved pet homes. My rats are housed in large cages, I use Finacard bedding on the floors of the cages, please see my links page for details of this product.  I also use shredded paper for bedding as well as hammocks, tunnels, toys and tubes to make the cage as interesting as possible.

We have recently changes our set up and are now using Ferret Nation cages and the Savic Freddy for younger rats.

They also have fresh fruit and veg every day.

Rats are intellegent and need lots of play and free time, your rats will need at least an hour outside of their cage every day. We often free range our rats in the hallway so they can have a good run around.
