I am a Mom of 2 boys, who apparently just can't keep her hands out of doing something creative! Oh, I have tried to give up the mess of doing a creative hobby, keeping my office clean and free of clutter, but something in me just isn't happy! :) I have a need to make things, and it has been in the form of jewelry for the last 5 years. I have started using solder in the last few years, and i just love the endless possibilities it has. I taught myself how to do it, what you need and where to buy everything. I took me many, many, countless in fact, hours on the internet doing research and practicing!! There was no book out there for this type of jewelry..trust me, I sat on the floor in Barnes and Noble many a night trying to find one!
I have had s successfull business making these pieces and selling them in boutiques near me. I was in 4 different stores at one point. (spread out across town, and one in a flea market in another city that a buyer traveled to) But, I am getting out of the jewelry business!! I have 2 other jobs teaching at hospitals and just don't have the time to keep up with the demand. (even after 3 years, stores still place special orders for more pieces!) So, I thought I would help those of you out there who want to start a business, but don't have the time to do the research it takes, and lets face it, the patience :)
I have written an e-book, and I have it for sale on e-bay. I have spelled out materials needed, each step in the process (with pictures for each step) and how to solder. I promise you...I would have paid just about anything for a source that told me how to make these pieces, after knowing how much I have made over the years!!! (since starting, I have paid for every Christmas present every year with my profits! That is the only kind of business to spend your time on - one that makes money!) When you can sell each marble piece for $8-12 (wholesale), you pay for your investment in the first day! The beveled glass pieces are even more profit for you...I would charge $25 (wholesale) for a 1.5"x1.5" piece...even more if I sold them directly to customers with a picture of their kids inside. (easily $35-40 each) Let's face it, it's a one of a kind piece of jewelry that only you can give them...a moment frozen in time that they can wear forever. Most of your cost is your time in making each piece. It is a handcrafted piece of jewelry, no two exactly alike, making it something everyone wants!
So...e-mail me for more information (if this is not enough...) or just look on e-bay under seller belle_bijou and get started today making a profitable business for yourself!!! You won't regret it...except maybe that you are too busy to go shopping anymore because you have too many orders :)
