Suddenly, shockingly and unexpectedly, one bright Saturday morning in September 2004, my daughter Annabel died. Bella was 24 and she had epilepsy. This was a contributing factor leading to her death, but the ebook I've written ~ Bella's Way ~ is not about why Annabel died, or the experience of epilepsy - it's really about coping with bereavement and loss. As you can imagine, this was a terrible shock, and we're still frequently awash with waves of grief – which no doubt will always be there. One personal response to this major life-event, has been to write Poems and Mindful thoughts to mark the emotional journey I've been taking since that awful time. I want to share this with you. Will you read my book?
In Part 1, my poems are an outpouring of fresh, raw and sometimes harrowing grief. In Part 2 there's a sense of calm as I try to pass on to others some of my experience in using Mindfulness as a way of coping. I've written Bella’s Way for several reasons....
To honour my daughter’s life, to inspire others to learn more about Mindfulness, and to encourage others when they read the book to make donations to one or more epilepsy charities - if they choose to.
Bella's Way is absolutely free. Thank you so much for reading the book. By doing this, you're directly helping people with epilepsy, and also helping others to come to terms with loss and learn to accept many other challenges in life ~
