All the things that have happened lately...
Peter Facinelli, who is playing Carlisle Cullen in the upcoming Twilight movie, updated his MySpace answering a few fan questions.
Also, the people who can’t seem to get beyond typecasting seem to have gotten to Robert Pattinson. Hey Robert, here we’re all about giving you a fair chance!
I just received the following information from Stephenie’s publicist:
"Could you please clarify that the Host tour is announced until the week of March 10th, not the actual 10th…I don’t want the fans to get over anxious.
Also, I saw that there are some upset fans about the cities changing - any information on ARCs are subject to change. Since ARCs are meant for industry people, this usually isn’t an issue…it was never meant as a confirmed listing of signings."
Stephenie’s website announced today that the details on her Host Sigining Tour would be released on March 10, 2008. All events will be ticketed events, so look for details on March 10, 2008 and reserve your space immediately so you aren’t faced with a "sold-out" situation.
The tour will start on May 6, and visit the following cities: Minneapolis, Kansas City, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver, Portland, Los Angeles and San Diego.
They also mentioned that she would not be doing a large signing tour for Breaking Dawn, so if one of these cities is close to you, don’t miss out on a Stephenie sigining experience.
We don’t have this 100% confirmed but Stephenie will probably be at Thanksgiving Point in Utah on May 16th.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone was aware that the Special Edition for Eclipse was all ready on pre-order. The book will include two t-shirt transfers as well as the first chapter of Breaking Dawn. I believe it will also include a full color print of the cover of Breaking Dawn. It will be available on May 31st. You can pre-order the book at the Lexicon’s Amazon Shop.

Stephenie Meyer updated her site with photos from the set of Twilight the movie. Rumors were going around that she had lunch with the cast and this seems to confirm that. She has a very humorous post about the time she spent with the "people out of (her) imagination".
Also, the additional cast list was confirmed by Variety. Check it out.
Christian Serratos confirmed on her MySpace page that she will be playing Angela Webber. (Edited: A big "Hi" to Christian who mentioned that she visited our site.)

(Hopefully I can get his picture in the Twilight Photos page soon!) Unfortuantely the article is only available in the print version so we can not host it here. Links to Michael’s Website and his IMDb page. Recently Michael has been in Joan of Arcadia and the film Lost Dream. We will update with any new information as soon as we get it.
And just as a heads up, with all the information coming out about the film and the books, we have to ask that you do not copy our posts word for word and put them on your website. Right now Stephenie Meyer’s site is reporting that they have a new server (Welcome to the upgrade your server club, Seth. I understand your pain!) because, "So, hypothetically speaking, if we were to announce several of the actors that are part of the cast of Twilight the movie in the next few days, there shouldn’t be any problems with getting on the site and viewing their official photos." Now I don’t know about the rest of you, but that sounds like a "So be sure to check the RSS feed" to me!
Also, on the Breaking Dawn press release page (thanks to multiple people who pointed this out) they are referring to December 12, 2008 (yes we know that is 10 months after filming begins and yes it seems like a really short turn around time to us too) as the release date of the film. This has also been up on the IMDB for awhile. Before anyone plans a a movie get together give it a couple of months. Past experience in with the Harry Potter movies has proven that sometimes for various PR reasons they change release dates by a week or two. Usually things stabilize around four to five months ahead of time, but studios can decide to change dates for any number of reasons.
Lastly since there seem to be two major questions of the hour, here is my two cents:
Question: Are you guys worried that they are adding other characters?
Answer: "No one knows the names of the other guys on the police force but obviously they exist. I’m sure there are even more than 10 named students attending Forks HS, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the town gas station attendant where Bella gases her truck has a name.
Movies are a visual medium. They need to add/delete characters for Bella to talk to to advance the plot. The whole movie can’t be a voice over happening in Bella’s head.
The added characters (so far a waitress and a guy on the force) seem to be minor roles that will advance the plot."
Question: "What about them changing the name of the Bio teacher, or changing the ethnicity of Bella’s classmates? Isn’t this going to ruin the movie?" Answer: "I’m not really following the logic here. The bio teacher being a bit of a "tree hugger" and Bella’s friends being multicultural significantly changes the Bella/Edward romance/mystique storyline how exactly? "

The Hollywood Reporter printed an article stating the Cam has been cast in Twilight but no role was mentioned in the release, but we have it from what we believe to be a credible source that it is James. (the info is at the bottom of the article) He is probably best known for his role in The OC. Here is his IMDb page. As soon as we get more information on his role we will let you know.

Also, in movie news, Shock Till You Drop is announcing that Justin Chon from Just Jordan has been cast in the film. There are no details as to who he will be playing but we will late you know once we find out. Lots of thanks to Cocoa for the heads up on both of these stories. You can also find the information on Variety (who broke the story). It seems as if it was an announcement from Justin’s management and not Summit because Justin’s name and not the the film company nor the movie title were prominent in the release.

I don't promise to have the site updated in that exact minute, but when you wake up on Thursday morning you should be able to find the release date and information about pre-ordering Breaking Dawn on this page. Twilight the movie was recently switched from the "Pre-Production" section to the "In-Production" section on Summit Entertainment's website.
There is an article in the Yakoma Herald Today about there being an open call to fill the role of Jacob Black for the Twilight movie.
Also, before everyone starts asking, to the best of my knowledge Stephenie has not given anyone the rights to do a sequel, but film companies standardly put sequels into an initial contract hoping to get the same actors if the film really takes off (Pirates of the Caribean anyone?). It’s their hope that then the author would want them to do a sequel if they do a good job on the first one and they have taken the first step to insure a successful sequel happens by making sure the original cast is available.

Breaking Dawn is in the editing phase. It it tentatively set for release Fall 2008. It could be later if we hit a snag in editing. Usually editing takes longer than a few months, but both I and my editors will be putting in lots of overtime to make this happen.
Not great news but it will do. Keep your fingers crossed.
