EU
commends Philippine economic boost
"The European Union has commended the
Philippines for its recent economic
gains and the significant decline in the
incidence of extrajudicial killings and
enforced disappearances," the EU
Ambassador Alistair MacDonald told a
press forum held at the Kapihan sa Sulo
at Sulo Hotel.
However, there are still main issues
that the Philippine government needs to
address such as extending the benefits of
economic development to the poor and
giving justice to those who suffered
from human rights violations, said
MacDonald.
