Here are the holidays of a Wiccan Year. The dates change each year but soon we'll have a Wiccan Calandar up. Hope you enjoy!
Yule is the longest night of the year. It falls between December 20-22. Some witches stay up all night to help Mother Earth get through the labor and birth of the sun. The darkness (the womb) is where all creation originates. it’s a time of quiet reflection; if we pay attention to the voice inside we can think clearly and amazing ideas can be born. Witches celebrate the rebirth of the god as he returns to bring warmth and fertility to the hearts of humankind. It’s a custom to leave all lights on, or leave a candle burning on the altar all night.
