Voldemort's error in his rebirth spell
Voldemort's spell for his rebirth is as follow:
"Bone of the father, unknowingly given, you will renew your son.
Flesh of the servant, willingly given, you will revive your master.
Blood of the enemy, forcibly taken, you will resurrect your foe." (Bk 4, pg 556, 557)
The parts of the spell refering to Voldemort's father - Tom Riddle Senior, and his foe - Harry Potter; are both perfectly true. It is true that Tom Riddle's bone was taken without his knowledge and that Harry's blood was taken against his wishes. However, it is clear that Wormtail gave his hand unwillingly and in great fear.
Will this small difference between the words of the spell and the actions to match them make a difference in the ability of Voldemort's new body to continue functioning properly?
Will this apparent error in the spell cause him soon to die an unstoppable death meaning that Harry will not have to risk his life attempting to destroy him complpetely?
Harry becomes Voldemort
Harry suceeds in killing Voldemor but then all the evil transfers into him so he is a efeectively a new Voldemort.
Ron and Hermione get married and have a child. The new Harry-Voldemort kills them and then attempts to kill their son but the curse backfires onto him.
And so the cycle begins again!
Vernon Dursley is/was connected to Voldemort
In the opening chapter of "Order of the Phoenix," Harry suffers a severe pain in his head when his Uncle Vernon touches him. His uncle feels such severe pain on contact with Harry at this time that he is forced to release him.
This incident bears a significance resemblance to the climax of "Philosopher's Stone" where Quirell was unable to force the stone from Harry as they both experienced considerable pain when they make contact.
The other similarity is that the degree of pain experienced by the person attempting to control Harry seems to be in direct proportion to the degree of head pain Harry feels.
Is the pain Vernon Dursley experiences in this incident merely as a result of an automatic magical reflex on Harry's part (similar to the incident with the vanishing glass at the zoo in "Philosopher's Stone") or is it an indication of somthing much more complicated?
Is it perhaps an indication that Vernon is strongly involved with either Voldemort's or Dumbledore's side (Harry had a desire to bite Dumbledore in "Order of the Phoenix" because of the nature of his connection with Voldemort)? Is he perhaps under the Imperius Curse?
Or perhaps Mr. Dursley, unknowingly, contains one of Voldemort's seven horcruxes?
Is this incident of vital importance to Harry's quest to destroy Voldemort in the final battle?
Voldemort turns more human
Will Voldemort suddenly become more human when the only remaining part of his soul is the one that resides in his body?
Maybe, at this point, he would start to feel some emotions which he had lacked when living with many horcruxes - a deeply unatural and inhuman thing to do.
Perhaps, when this happens, he will suddenly feel the tiredness of old age and have the desire to die a natural death.
He will therefore perhaps either:
- Leave Harry and everyone else alone and live a quiet life.
- Suddenly begin to feel the affection and need to protect Harry that so many other people seem to feel, and therefore allow Harry to kill him.
Voldemort is an animagus
It is possible that Voldemort is an animagus, his animal being the snake. Evidence:
Harry is inside the snakes head when it attacks Mr. Weasley at the department of mysteries. His connection is with Voldemort, not with Voldemort's snake. Therefore, the snake may have been Voldemort as an animagus.
(However, Harry may just have seen things from the snakes eyes because Voldemort was controlling the snake.)
Harry is related to Voldemort
After Tom Riddle senior (Voldemort's father) had left Merope, he went back to Cecilia and had a child with her. This child was either Lily or one of Lily's parents. Evidence:
Cecilia means "Heaven's Lily." (However, I think the the theory that Harry is in any way related to Voldemort has been knocked by JKR.)
