I recently went to see "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." My verdict: incredible. Many reviews on this most recent of the Potter films have, I believe, failed to portray the true greatness of this film - many were negative, criticising director David Yates amongst other aspects of the film. In my opinion, the conversations between the characters took on a much more realistic edge in this film than in any of the others, and the on-screen chemistry was also better - particularly good was that between Rupert Grint and Emma Watson (playing Ron and Hermione). Although there was a lot missed out, for some reason - whether because I had not this time just read the book, or due to a difference in directors - this was less noticeable. Evanna Lynch, playing Luna Lovegood, was a delightful addition to the cast. Her manner of speech and facial expressions could not have been closer to those I imagined for the character as I read the book. ALthough I very recently saw this (two-and-a-half hour?) film, I'd happily watch it again now and I can't wait for the DVD to come out!

After hearing that one of my friends had already begun queing for the final book at 6pm, my eagerness to purchase the book upon its midnight release was somewhat diminished - I thought it unlikely that I would leave the shop before 2am and there therefore seemed to be a great likelihood of dozing off! However, I bought it the next morning and, after a night unable to stop reading it, I emerged very tired but with the book still unfinished! Two days later and my journey through Harry Potter's high school years is now complete. Although many of my theories and those of others which particularly interested me, were proved wrong; I could not have asked for a more brilliant book to end this fantastic series!
