Beth El Temple Youth programs foster a positive relationship between our young members and the Temple. Our
youth groups provide age appropriate activities and teach life skills
and Jewish practice, ethics and beliefs. This is the best place for our
youth to develop their own sense of Jewish identity and pride.
Participants in youth activities will make new friends, think of Beth El as a place to have fun and develop social and leadership skills. We strive to provide children and teens the opportunity to continue to develop a Jewish identity by hanging out with other Jewish kids and teens as well as incorporate Jewish activities into their lives.
BEFTY is Beth El's youth group for 9th-12th graders. It is run by high schoolers on the BEFTY Board along with our Youth Director. BEFTY is affiliated with NFTY-MAR, the North American Federation of Temple Youth Mid-Atlantic Region. Past events have included Comedy Sportz, ice skating and movie night.
Jr. BEFTY is Beth El's youth group for our middle school students, 6th-8th graders. Past events have included rock climbing, cosmic bowling and our annual shul-in.
