The Ibizan Hound
Outside the ring I look at him
He looks back at me with his dark amber eyes
A curious look on his face
As his ears stand strait up top his head
I watch his movement
So graceful
So elegant
Stride by stride
His tail up and slightly curled
His beautiful patches of red and white are a blur
Fur is so smooth unlike the wirehaired dog beside him
He stops
Impatient to stand still
He jumps up
Lets out an anxious whine
Making a fool out of himself
All at once he’s off again
A blur of beauty
While being one of the oldest known breeds still alive, the Ibizan Hound is far from having an old and worn down personality. It has the heart and soul of a puppy at any age. It also has amazing athleticism and strength, while still being lightweight and maintaining its elegant, almost royal appearance. The love for this breed whether it’s the breed or one Ibizan in particular, never dies.
