The original Beerheads team started playing in 1997 under the team name of  the "Nads" for the 1st two seasons it was a learning experience and a rough go as the team would go winless and score just a few goals during that time. Entering the 3rd season of playing the Nads picked up their 1st win in team history and snowballed that into a league championship. After the 1st league championship in 1999 the Nads not only went from worst to first was the team to beat and won 5 staight league championships including winning the 1st ever Omaha Broomball tournament Championship in 2000.
