This is the homepage for me and my rabbits.I have been keeping rabbits now for ten years.I started with one rescued rabbit as a pet and now have 80.
I now breed and show mini lops and dwarf lops, mainly in aguti and chin colour.I was introduced to the showing side of keeping rabbits by my good friend and mentor Sazlew stud.She has taught me all i know and is a constant and true friend.The first show i went to was at Tonbridge in kent. Their i met angi and murvin who run the show they were very helpfull and made my first show less stressfull.Due to having a very nice blue opal from shazlew i came away with a red card at the end of the day.I have not looked back since and am now addicted to showing doing 100 shows in 4 years..Saying this i must mention Dave. Dave breeds continental giants and he takes me to the shows.We mainly show in Kent and Essex, but we do travel to some shows further afield.
As well as my rabbits i have other pets , up untill recently i had 3 dogs a german shepard called murfy a dalmation called lolly and a doberman cross called mazie. I now only have mazie who is 12 years old. My cat is called paris she is a recent addition to the household and is a rescued cat. On top of this i have some birds a conyer some zebra finches and 4 green finches.Lastle i have 2 sons one of whome is still at home the other has a partner and has mad me a grandmother.[even though im not old enough]lol
Aswell as showing i work for the Animalsamaritons .I foster all the rabbits and g/pigs that come into rescue.They stay with me untill they can be rehomed this can take months.All the bucks that come in are castrated, i take them to our vet witch is just around the corner[just as well]. We are very lucky with our vet she has taken a speciel interest in rabbits and is very good with them.The cost of keeping the rabbits is meet by the charity, but my work is unpaid.
