Although our herd is small, we are always on the look out for quality mares to add to our band.

Flaire - is a 19 year old Appendix QH mare, who really was the start of our breeding program. We bred her dam, and were delighted to have baby Flaire, but when Flaire was 4 months of age, we tragically lost her dam to colic. As Kris likes to say, Flaire is really "home grown!"
Flaire is a granddaughter of Sir Poco Dundee and Pixie Sue which was a top Games mare in Ontario and the U.S.
Flaire was originally bred to race on the Quarter Horse circuit in Ontario but at a young age, Wilma decided to keep her for training in English events. Under Kris' training program, Flaire excelled at Hunter shows at the local level.
Flaire has passed on her athletic abilities to all 3 of her foals that she has had. The first 2 geldings she produced are now successfully competing on the Hunter and Jumper circuits in Ontario, and pictures of them can be viewed on the past accomplishments page. Her most recent colt, now a 2 year old, is being brought along to be Kris' next show horse.
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Flaire. Please see her tribute page on "Gone but not Forgotten." Her death has left a very large hole in our hearts and breeding program. Her legacy will continue through her last gelding Ragz. Rest in Peace my old girl and be free! You are greatly missed at the barn.

Jazz - is a 9 year old APHA reg'd mare. Jazz was originally purchased to be the next show mare but found her way into the broodmare band instead. Jazz still goes for trail rides and teaches children/adults to ride. She has now produced 2 foals for us. A very loud coloured filly that was sold when we moved west and the 2 year old gelding for sale. Jazz is a great granddaughter of the legendary Jetalito. She is by Class It Up and out of Unforgetable. Two well known Paint horses in Ontario.

Fred - is a 16 year old section B reg'd Welsh pony mare. She was orginally given to Wilma to be her next driving pony as this was always a dream for Wilma. Fred now enjoys her time hanging out in the field and taking Hunter around for trail rides. This fall, Hunter and Fred completed a 5 km trail ride with Kris on Suess. Fred also continues to teach other little boys and girls how to ride. She IS the back bone of our weaning program. Although we never got to breed her, we still think of her when we think of our mare power.

Panda - is a 5 year old black and white pinto mare Wilma found in a friend's field. Wilma wasn't looking for a horse at the time but Panda made it her destiny to be with Wilma. Kris put the training into her this winter before moving to Dundurn and now she is learning all about life as Wilma's trail horse. She will be a future broodmare.
