First Kickabout of the Season!

In fairness considering the above we started very strongly from the off and within 10 minutes Ryan Bonsu had opened his account with a fine goal. Not to be outdone Dai Yoxen scored two minutes later to make it 2-nil.

A further goal from Bonsu made it 3-nil at the break.  The Colts were totally in control at this point and could have been even further ahead.

After half time Mountain Ash started to play a bit but failed to break down the Colts 'rock solid' defence. Yoxen then added his second to make it 4-nil Bonsu added another to make it Five.

Mountain Ash scored a consolation goal then only to be outdone by another clinicl finish by Bonsu....

Fine performances by the boys in the middle of the park, they controlled the game from start to finish.

Another comfortable performance by Captain Chaos Hughes and his merry men at the back!!!!!!!

League Game 1

Afc Dragons  0   Colts   7   (Yoxen 3  Bonsu 3  Luc Williams 1)

Colts Started as they meant to go on having taken confidence from the drubbing of Mountain ash in the previous game.

The Colts controlled the game from the start and goals came easily for them. Goals from Yoxen and Bonsu virtually finished the game at half time as they were already 5-nil up.

In fairness despite lacking in confidence Dragons came out for the second half with thier tails up which took the Colts by surprise as they had fully expected to run riot with a shower of goals but to Dragons credit this didnt happen.

Two further goals from Bonsu and Luc Williams finished the Dragons off with a final score of 7-nil.

 The Colts Coaches were a little dispointed at the end (not with the result) but with the silly booking that were awarded by Referee Carl 'Hitler' Snookes.  Young Yoxen was booked for discent, Jordan Odgers for being ugly without a licence and Goalkeeper James Smith for looking like a dickhead with all that silly hair!!!!!!!!!.

Only Joking Mr Snookes Hitler was a pussycat compared to you !!!!!!!!

League Game 2

Colts  6   Ponty Town  2 (Cozens 2,  Bonsu, C Hughes, Greenstock, Harris )  

Colts welcomed a much improved Ponty Town to Upperboat 3 this Saturday.

The Game started with a high tempo and from the off it was clear both teams were up for this match.  First blood went to the Colts when their striker was fouled outside the box. Quick thinking Josh Cozens took the kick early and caught the keeper off guard and slotted the ball into the corner. For the next 15 minutes the Colts showed why they were deserved Champions last season. A great one - two with Callum Jones put  Adam Greenstock through on goal an he cooley rifles the ball into the roof of the net. Next Ryan Bonsu broke through to score the third with a fine solo effort drilled into the bottom right hand corner leaving the keeper no chance. Josh Cozens then scored his second from distance (I Missed it so cant comment to much on it!) and then Captain Chaos himself Callum Hughes drilled a freekick from 125 yards into the keepers top right hand corner leaving him no chance (well thats what he was telling everybody) i think it was about 35 yards myself. this made it 5- nil. Ponty got one back before the break following a defensive error.

The second half didnt live up to the first unfortunatly but a goal from debutant Luke Harris made it 6- 1  then on the final whistle Ponty Town scored another Consolation goal to make the final score 6-2.

This was a much improved Ponty side, However for the Colts, the first 20 minutes of this game were devastating and no team would have lived with them.

To retain the League the Colts will have to play the full 70 minutes like this.

Nevertheless, this was only the third game of the season and with more games under their belt who knows.
