We have a small cattery located in Point Cook, Victoria. Our family consists of Ragdolls and Boxers. We adopted our first Ragdoll, Kira in 2003 after lots of researching exactly what we were looking for in a cat. The biggest thing that attracted us to Ragdolls is their temperament and low maintenance fur it suited us perfectly, and then we found that you can’t just have one
…….if you are looking for a large gentle, affectionate companion that prefers to be with you no matter what (except maybe when you give them their dinner ….) then a Ragdoll could be just what you are looking for.
Ragdolls are a loyal and friendly cat, their name comes from their tendency to relax and become limp when picked up. Their coat is the softest imaginable and requires very little grooming and rarely matts if kept inside. Unlike most cats, your Ragdoll will prefer your company and will follow you from room to room as you move around your house, and settle finally when you do. Some Ragdolls even like to play fetch with their Toys, one girl we had Amelia would play fetch with her favourite toy for hours when in the mood! They are slow to mature and will life a long healthy life if cared for.
