The aluminised steel chassis (which has a torsional stiffness of 11500Nm/deg) and suspension were designed by an Automotive Engineer to replicate or better the original vehicle design.
Brakes are 4 pot AP Racing callipers with 305mm vented discs.
The original style body comprises eight moulded fibreglass sections using acrylic resins.
The interior has original Smith gauges; 13-inch, 3 spoke steering wheel; as well as original floor mounted Tilton pedals and seats (optional).
Air conditioning is available as an option.
Other options include a 4-point racing harness or standard inertia-reel seat belts.
The chassis was designed to take a small block Ford 302 cubic inch V8 engine, matched to a Getrag transaxle gearbox, which can be supplied on request.
The kit includes 7 sections, which are all clearly labelled and packaged for easy assembly. A complete instruction manual details the assembly of the car in logical order from start to finish. The kit can also be bought in stages. All components are unpainted. The build time should be approximately 400 hours.
Engine
and gearbox, interior carpets and dash upholstery are not included.
