About Me

Hello all and welcome. My name is Scott Beaty. I am the columnist who writes Beaty's Beat and I'd like to take this moment to tell you all about myself. I am from West Long Branch, New Jersey, 17 years old, and attend Christian Brothers Academy, in Lincroft. I love to play soccer and do so for my club team and for CBA's school team. As a hobby and at times more as a way of life, I follow the world of football. No, not the NFL. Real football (this is not knocking American football because I quite like it but that's a different story). My favorite team is Liverpool FC, and my favorite player is Steven Gerrard. They have tons of history, some good and some bad, but I have been brought up, not by my parents, but by my brother, and parents' co-worker, as a Liverpool supporter. Honestly however, only since 2004-2005 have I really truly been, what I like to refer to myself now as, a "semi-expert of world football."
Okay that's enough about me for now. What is my column all about? My column is mainly about my favorite hobby, or as I mentioned before, my way of life, football. I live and die by my team and want to tell you all about it. If there are any Manchester United, Chelsea, or Arsenal fans out there, I hope that this does not turn you away from my column, as I attempt to write with as much unbiasedness as possible. Thank you all for tuning into my column and You'll Never Walk Alone!!!
