Blonde Unicorn head added to Gallery (November 6th) Video page updated

I will not be taking anything due before January 1st 2010 (unless it is a mythical creature or something with hooves, in which case I may play favorites and might squeeze it in for a fee). Anything Due in April will have a 20% fee as that month is over booked.

I am extremely busy this month so I am behind on emails, I plan to respond to all emails by mid November so please be patient. Please do not ask for a quote unless you have the downpayment ready (see ordering info)

My previous @msn email account is DEAD msn messed something up and the account is gone. you can email me at thebeastcub@gmail.com

My Prices will go up After December First!

Heads will go up by nearly $100 and the overall cost for a full body costume will rise by about $200-$300.

If you are considering ordering and wish to avoid the price change I must get the first payment from you before December 1st 2009, doing so will keep your cost at my current price.

I am accepting down payments for anything due between Jan 1st 2010 and Jan 1st 2011. those down payments are: head only order $100. Halfsuit $200. Fullsuit $300. Quadsuit $500. If you get said payment in before Dec 1st your quote will be based on my current prices.

As too of why I am raising my prices, I have no shortage of customers anymore, in fact my current list has 28 items which will take 7-10 months to complete. My current prices are very close to my start up prices, I am no longer a start up business as I have a stong foothold now and I need to quit underpaying myself for my work

Welcome

Why the Name Beastcub?

It has to do with a story I created.

I began a novel in the 7th grade called Beast Sagas about another world similar to earth except the world was for the most part dominated by creatures called Beasts.

In my book adolescents are referred to as a beastcub and often that term is used in place of their names. One of my favorite characters is an orphan who never gave her name so the clan called her Beastcub and the name stayed with her throughout the rest of her life.

And so when it came time to chose a screen name for myself Beastcub was the first thing that came to mind.

So that is why I am the Beastcub

(by the way just because people mess it up, I am a girl not a guy)

What is Furry Fandom?

Furry Fandom is subgroup of science fiction and fantasy fans who focus on cartoon animals and anthropomorphic (humanized) animals.

Anthropomorphic animals have been a part of human culture for a long time, the Egyptian gods, the Hindu goddess Ganesha, and the Japanese stories of shape shifting Tanukis and Kitsunes are a few examples of an interest in humanized animals existing long before furry fandom had begun.

The fandom has a wide range of members including artists, writers, costume makers, costume performers and simple fans of work containing anthros.

Most "Furries" are into the fandom as a hobby in the same way one would be interested in science fiction, Fantasy or anime.

For me, I discovered Furry Fandom when I was 20 and i had been making animal costumes since I was 9 years old. I had been interested in the elements of Furry Fandom long before I had ever heard the term ....and thanks to the Furry Fandom my dream of making a living off of my art is coming true.

Above is a news report about furries.
