Welcome to Bearloom Teddies where 'Hugs' begin!  I am a Canadian Bearmaker eager to show off my creations to you.

Thank you to all the clients who made 2008 such a wonderful year.

 

2008 was particularly busy for bookings so I am fully booked for 2009 and am now booking for delivery in June of 2010.   I am attempting to reduce that wait time but that will depend on whether life and its surprises works with me rather than against me!  I book on a first-come - first-served basis to keep things as fair as possible. Quality is very important to me and that means that I won't rush just to fit in more bears in a year (a typical year involves about 250 bears).  I want every bear that I make to be of the highest quality and of special meaning.  It has been a wild ride here through 2008!

My collector bears are available either through my website or in the showroom in my home which is available by appointment only Mondays to Fridays (days and evenings) or on Saturday afternoons.

The memory bears are created from a pattern that I have developed over time and continue to develop.  I have samples here to give you an idea of what the bears will look like but there will be subtle changes due to the type of fur or garment used.  The collector bears are made from even more personal patterns.  They are of limited quanties to provide a personal touch.  They range in size from 6" to 20".

For online purchases, I accept paypal and Visa and Mastercard, by phone only for your security.

QUALITY

I strive to offer the best quality bears I can.  All my fur bears are lined with cotton for years of durability.  Each bear is jointed 5 ways, with mostly  metal locknut and screw joints so the head (plastic joint here only), arms and legs all move. They are stuffed with high quality polyester stuffing and sometimes plastic pellets are added  to the tummy for some extra weight.  Each bear is assigned a unique number and special care instructions. All bears come with glass eyes and handsewn noses to give you heirloom quality.
