Dragons rule!

Feeding and calcium

Dragons have huge appetites, some can between 50-60 crickets a day!

Here are a few examples as to what a dragon can eat.

1.) Strawberries

2.) Cucumbers

3.) Carrots

4.) lettuce (no iceburge)

5.) Dandelion leaves and flowers

6.)Superworms

7.) Waxworms

8.)pinkie mice (very rarely)

9.) Mealworms

10.) June beetles

As dragons mature you'll notice that their appetite changes from eating protein every day, to maybe never again.

If your dragon is like mine it most likely won't touch anything with the word protein in it, this is perfectly normal.

For babes bearded dragons should get between 6--12 calcium covered (dusted) crickets a day.

As a dragon grows about 24.

To dust veggies put a little calcium in a dish with the veggies and mix until light grey.

Fruit should be feed as a treat on rare occasions, maybe once a week, be careful some fruits can be toxic to dragons due to acid in such fruits as oranges, and lemons.

Some vegetables are toxic too, like tomatoes, and spinach.

June beetles, most people think this is a major no no , thats not true.

My dragon has been eating these insects for two years without any problems.

The larva (grub) is also very good because there are very high in fat.

You can collect these critters from you're yard if ; No on within one block chemical sprays their lawn.
