[July 5, 2008] Minor Site Makeover and PS-66
I updated the site a bit. I finally got around to putting the affiliate buttons on the front page. It should have looked better, but I don't have enough affiliates to fill up the space. If you're interested in affiliating with Beantopia, let me know (guestbook, email, private message, carrier pigeon, whatever you can come up with). Also, the Hacks page is now sporting a mini navigation bar that will get you to the hack of your choice with a simple click, as opposed to scrolling through the whole damn page.
The other announcement for today is my new base firmware for devs called Podium Sans-66. In this firmware I resized Podium Sans size 22 to be 66 pixels in height. That means you could make bigger icons and crap like that.

[July 1, 2008] Attack of the Nano Hacks
Muahhahahaha!!! You can't escape the awesomeness! That's right, Beantopia now has 1G Nano hacks. "But beans, you don't have a Nano." Very true, but what I do have is a lot of time on my hands and the ability to re-size images. That being said, the first hack is the Triple Background Hack for Developers... for Nano. As with the 5G/5.5G versions, this is a base firmware for developers that has three backgrounds. The backgrounds are not linked to any menus, so the firmware is useless to casual users.
The next hack isn't my hack at all. Viljar released his new "Classified" for Nano and it is without a doubt one of the greatest hacks out there. I've put it up here because I helped with it and that counts for something right :D .

[June 29, 2008] DBGC, ISTIV, PIP, BF...acronyms FTW!
Ok, some stuff has been added/updated. Multi-Background Classic has been ported to DBH and has been renamed Dual-Background Classic (I'm very clever). Both iPod Shuffle to iPod Video and Pod-in-a-Pod are now available as firmware. That means it'll be even easier to prank your friends :P. Lastly, this was added to the site a few days ago but I never mentioned it. I made a new theme for the iTunes Travel Edition hack called Black Flight. Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think. And that's it as far as updates go.
More stuff is coming soon (even though I still haven't fixed my iPod) so be on the look-out.
[June 23, 2008] Dual Background Hack and other updates
Well, it sure has been a while since I posted any news. I finally have some stuff to put here so let's begin. Ok, first off we have the Dual Background Hack. Because of that nasty language bug in MBH, people who use languages that don't use Roman character were unable to use all the latest hacks. Not to mention that MBH is over 3 times larger than a regular firmware. Well I decided to make a brand new MBH so that everyone can enjoy great hacks like Touch and Hybrid. I've also ported Panel and Evolution to the new DBH firmware, so if you were interested in using them before, now you can.
The second announcement is that I don't have a second announcement.
[May 25, 2008] All Systems Go
Thanks to Wes K and flgppd, the Evolution links are back up. Just in case something like this ever happens again, WTFish was kind enough to set up some mirrors on his site. So if you're having trouble with one of my links, just visit his site and you should be able to download them no-problem.
In other crappy site news, the guestbook seems to be falling apart for no apparent reason. When you post a link, the characters seem to get spaced out and it'll also incorporate some other parts of your message into the link. I would contact Freewebs to find out what the problem is, but I'm 99% sure that they would remove this site due to the firmware links and for putting up my own CSS and HTML pages (which disable their ads :P). I'm hoping the conflict will resolve itself soon, but if it doesn't, I'll have to find a new guestbook.

[May 20, 2008] The End?
SITE EMERGENCY
Eat that tech support!
I managed to fix the issue by myself. I'm going to need some help fixing the site though. If you have unmodified versions of the Evolution firmware, please send me an email at beans3o7@aim.com (beans3o7 is my AIM screen name as well, in case you need to get in touch with me). Please do not send the firmware with the email. Just tell me what version you have, and I'll send you a reply letting you know it's ok to send the firmware.
Thanks
[May 10, 2008] A Few Minor Site Updates
I've got a few more affiliates. Thanks for responding. Be sure to check out them out in the Misc page. Speaking of affiliates, the section in the Misc page may be moving into it's own page. I'm also trying to get little affiliate buttons to replace the "Quote of the Day", so if you see anything weird going on with the box, just ignore it.
I'm going to replace the resource versions of the Joke Hacks with firmware later today, since UBH 1.2.1 isn't as easy to find as it used to be.
I've also been thinking about setting up a Hack/Theme directory, since I don't have anything to add to the site anymore. It might be a while before I actually set it up, because I'm going to need an easy way to manage it (constantly editing the HTML will most likely kill me). Plus, it might be hard to keep up with all the themes, so I'll just add the good quality ones. That's about it.

[May 3, 2008] Back from the Grave to bring You the NEWS!
In my last post, I said I would be leaving the hacking community due to the loss of my iPod. Well I managed to make one last hack even without my iPod. It might be perhaps the biggest contribution I've made to the community, a Triple Background firmware. Now developers can have 3 backgrounds on their hacks, and the firmware size is only 13mb. The firmware is already being put to use by WTFish and his latest hack: HS Force v2.0. I'll be posting documentation on resizing images soon.
In site related news, we've got our first affiliate, Apple Hackz. I'll be working on getting affiliate buttons on the front page, but for now they can be found in the Misc section. If you'd like to affiliate with Beantopia, let me know either in the guestbook or some other way.
And... that's about it. I'm looking forward to all the new TBH hacks and the subsequent themes.

[April 25, 2008] Good News + Bad News
Well, let's start with the good news. As you can see, the site now has a title banner! Sexy ain't it? AnAnt did an amazing job on it, and it didn't even take that long! I'd like to thank him/her again for the great banner.
Ok, here's the bad news. My iPod's hard drive broke last night. The iPod isn't exactly bricked, but since I don't have the money to buy a new hard drive, it might as well be. This means I won't be able to make anymore hacks or themes for you guys. No need to worry though, there are plenty of talented developers hard at work on brand new, breathtaking hacks.
Well, it's been a fun couple of months hanging with you all. Thanks for all of your support and enjoy the hacks!
Bye
[April 23, 2008] The Return of the Stuff
Stuff stuffy stuf stuff. Ok, first up is news on the title banner. AnAnt on iPH is making a banner for the site. Judging from the artwork in his themes, this banner will likely be pure awesomeness in a rectangular form. Next, the mighty platypus now graces the Evolution hack with its presence. That's right, someone finally made a platypus theme, and that someone is Billybojilly. Check out the thread: Click me dammit!
Finally..... crap. I don't have anything left to say.

[April 22, 2008] New Site!:
I finally got a nice looking website! Sure it's still on Freewebs but it looks sexy. I'm still working on stuff so please bear with me.
Also, you've probably noticed that there's no title banner. I don't have the design skills to make a fitting banner, but if you can, I'm begging you to help me out here. I'll even bake you muffins.
[April 18, 2008] This Room Feels so...Juicy:
I'm bored. I've been working my ass off on the big extras pack for Evo. I should have it out pretty soon. I want to get the extras, bugs, and iRiver hack out of the way by next week so I can do stuff. Still no sign of a Platypus theme for Evo, but I'm hoping someone will do it. Tylenol...so...strong...can't...form...linear thoughts. Never take the nighttime Tylenol during the day.
Anyway, I've been trying to make some themes for Evo, but I keep coming up with nothing. The only theme I'm definitely going to do at the moment is a Panel to Evolution theme. I want to do an entire set of Macabre themes, but I haven't found the right pictures yet. But don't worry my blood-loving friends, I'm sure I'll come up with something.
