Got a bit of my mojo back.

I've been doing bits and bobs of things here and there.

Beading

This pendant is part of an abalone (paua) shell and looks really pretty. I think I may have strung the green chips a wee bit too tight but I'm learning as I go along.

I tried to get some dangly bits on here but again, I may be tightening things up a bit too much as they don't move as well as I'd like. It is actually blue although it looks black on here.

I really like the sheen on these beads (in my favourite colour of course!)

I've been asked to make some more baby clothes. Here's what I've done so far.

Stitching and Beading

Well, a departure from knitting. I'm trying to use up some of the 'stuff' I've accumulated and found the stitched card patters I bought from Form a Lines last year but never used. There are some free patters in you want to experiment.

I'm never very good with a needle and thread and spend as much time trying to thread the needle as I do stitching. I'm afraid I lack the patience required to make these perfectly. I can only do this when the light is good as I can't see when it's dusky. It's very time consuming so I don't think I'll be doing too many of these.

There is a holly wreath pattern in this set which I've not done yet.

The card is much darker in real life.

This is one of the free patterns if I remember correctly. I didn't have enough matching beads so I just did my own thing.

Beads

Again, I'm not very patient with these. I found winding the little loops on the head pins to support the dangling beads a bit of a challence. Most of the beads I had in stock but I did have to buy some of the findings (wires, fasteners, etc).

Firstly I did this glasses chain, the beads are wooden.

These are various glass and other types of bead.

I really like this green one, although the beads don't look green on the scan, they are a lovely smoky colour.

Lindsey arranged for a lady to do our demonstration this month - she was very organised and had cut out the mats and layers using her own dies. Thank you Lindsey for arranging this.

This week, at art group, we used pastels to illustrate a cabbage. We all had half a cabbage and this is my attempt.

I think this is quite good - for me! However, someone did comment that it looked like a lilly.

Craft Club

Lindsey designed this project - it's a wee mini book with a card and tags inside - the card and tags are removable from the cover. My version is a bit pale, it needs a bit more contrast, which I'll use when I do another one.

I need to finish the inside and add words to the tags.

THIS IS LINDSEY'S EXAMPLE - you get a better idea of the whole project from this one. Thank you Lindsey! Isn't it lovely?

Knitting

Here's a little cardi I've knitted to add to my collection - it's actually a lovely pale lemon but not sure you get the full colour effect from this photo. I love doing cables.

Some baby clothes I've crocheted for my baby basket collection.

Well a long gap since I posted. My crafting mojo's still adrift somewhere but with the advent of snow I've finally had to acknowledge that yes, Christmas WILL soon be here and I've made a few cards.

My friends seem to be having eventful lives with grandchildren due and house moves so I've made appropriate cards.

I've used some templates from Sara's Cardmaking Paradise VIP magazine - check it out - you won't be disappointed. They are available as PDF files, GSDand SVG files to subscribers.

Because we've been busy with our fruit harvest and making all the preserves, I've not done much papercrafting.

This batch of plain cards is the most I've managed recently.

This is the new crochet shawl pattern I've made. The photo's not too good tho'.

Zoë, our local Stampin' Up Demonstrator teamed up today with her colleage Emma to do another of their brilliant craft days. We had a lovely lunch and made 6 items to take home. I need to add a few gems and a bit of glitter here and there on mine still but even as they are, I'm very pleased with our days work and it was great fun too!

This is a domino pendant but the photo's got too much reflection to show it properly.
