This week we did pencil sketching. I had to take a soft and hard article to sketch. I didn?t get round to the hard article but for the soft one, I?d taken a scarf, which I tied in a knot. For me, it turned out not too badly although it bears more than a passing resemblance to a crusty loaf rather than a knotted scarf.

Babies

The second of the babies I?ve been knitting for has arrived. My great nephew, Callum (it means Dove). He is, of course, gorgeous.

I needed a rest from my knitting marathon (I hope baby number three hangs on for a while) and made some cards.

This one was inspired by Fudgebabe the cloud is cotton wool.

The pattern for this wee boottee is here.  I put a little card inside for the verse.

The patterns for this card are here and here.  I cast on 15sts for the jumper to make it larger and in proportion (sort of) to the other bits.

I DIDN'T make this (bet you'd never have guessed).  It was made by my friend Barbara's husband John.  Its his FIRST pheasant's head walking stick handle.
