OK, this is my second try at this page - just typed 80% of it and it disappeared.
Silk Paper and Felt Making
Pauline ran a full day workshop here in our village. What a GREAT day I had - thanks Pauline.
She brought beautiful samples of her own work in both silk and felt and so I was really inspired (but forgetting she's been doing it for more than one day of course).
Here is my silk paper. I did two sheets, one with petals in and one plain in colour but textured. Most of the ladies did a bowl also but I loved the masks on display and chose to do that. My mask is a bit too 'see through' and needed more layers but I'll know for the future. I'm still chuffed with it. Oh, I made some leaves also using real ones as a mould - good eh?

I'd made felt before - unintentionally - when I'd washed woollen garments and they dried small enough to fit the cat - and I don't even have a cat. Pauline's samples were gorgeous and I'm annoyed I didn't remember my camera so's I could show you.
I made this piece and a wee purse but I need to finish the purse off before I show it.

Arty Farty Bella Parasol
Not my usual 'thing' but I needed it for something specific. Here are my samples and practise pieces. The card doesn't show up too well because the metallic paper reflected the flash.

Knitting
The second of the three babies I've been knitting for is now overdue and is to be 'invited' to arrive over the week-end.
Here's another of my new patterns - and I'll be adding this to my favourites (it's not 'as the pattern' actually but I won't say any more about that, other than it helps if you READ the instructions).

ATC swap - Life
Sara hosted last month's atc swap on her Time for Crafting forum (click on the link to see all the entries). Thanks Sara. The theme was LIFE which I found difficult.
Here is the one I made - I made mine all the same. I typed the full poem on the reverse. I did the background by masking off sections with torn paper and sponging distress inks onto the card. The image was printed and heat embossed and then coloured and mounted onto the background. The words are done on SAFMAT.

Here are the ones I received.

These were made by Lainey, AnneC and Maggie. Aren't they great?
