Be a Muslim i.e. Submission to ALLAH: Islam the Great and True Religion

Be a Muslim i.e. Submission to ALLAH

Follow the last Prophet Muhammad

(peace be upon him)

The World's Greatest Prophet

of whose coming Jesus (peace be upon him) said in Gospel

The Holy Qur'an (ch.61:6 ) declares that Jesus announced unto the people of Israel the coming of Ahmad: "And when Jesus, the son of Mary (peace be upon him) said: 'Children of Israel, I am sent to you by ALLAH to confirm the Torah that is before me, and to give news of a Messenger who will come after me whose name shall be Ahmad.' Yet when he came to them with clear proofs, they said: 'This is clear sorcery.'"

"He shall give you another Periqlytos, that he may stay with you for ever" (John xiv. 16, etc.).

Periqlytos etymologically and literally means "the most illustrious, renowned, and praiseworthy." I take for my authority Alexandre's Dictionnaire Grec-Francais=Periqlytos, "Qu'on peut entendre de tous les cotes; qu'il est facile a entendre. Tres celebre," etc. "= Periqleitos, tres celebre, illustre, glorieux; = Periqleys, tres celebre, illustre, glorieux," from = Kleos, glorire, renommee, celebrite." This compound noun is composed of the prefix "peri," and "kleotis," the latter derived from "to glorify, praise." The noun, which I write in English characters Periqleitos or Periqlytos, means precisely what AHMAD means in Arabic, namely the most illustrious, glorious, and renowned.

Which teachings constitute the most comprehensive guidance to mankind? How should man develop himself to learn,  appreciate and live in accordance with such teachings? Every rational individual should seriously ponder over these sensible questions to make life more meaningful and truthful.

To be truly guided, man has to make use of ALLAH ’s innate gift to him as a rational-thinking creature. He should be able to think intelligently, to reflect deeply, to assess objectively and to decide reasonably what teachings comprise the best guidance for him to follow. This is obviously necessary because some hypocrites who falsely claimed to be “prophets of ALLAH ” has emerged to distort the Truth. With all pretensions, these false prophets had come up with their own man-made laws and heresies, side by side with the teachings of ALLAH  (Subhanahu wa ta’ala, meaning: the Exalted, Most Glorious)  and His true messengers, like Jesus Christ and Muhammad r (Salallahu ‘alayhi wa salam, meaning: May the peace and blessings of Allah I  be upon him.)

The Holy Qur’an is the Divine Word of ALLAH  revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the Archangel Gabriel to save mankind from darkness unto light (Qur’an 14: 1).  Allah I sent it as the Book in truth and the balance to judge between right and wrong (Qur’an 42: 17). Since it is the Book of ALLAH  , He Himself guards it from corruption (Qur’an 15: 9) for man to learn wisdom (Qur’an 12: 2) and, hence, receive the most righteous guidance (Qur’an 17: 9). ALLAH   enlightens mankind to the truth when He says:

“Do they not consider the Qur’an (with care) ? Had it not been from other than ALLAH , they would surely have found therein much discrepancy?” (Qur’an 14: 82)

“Say: ‘lf the whole of mankind and Jinn were to gather to produce the like of the Qur’an they could not produce like thereof even if they backed up each other with help and support. “ (Qur’an  17: 88)

Hadith plays a very vital role in perfecting the way of life of the Muslims.  It is sacred, inviolate and majestic and it is revered next to the Holy Qur’an in the entire Muslim world. It provides detailed specifications for what is determined in generality by the Qur’an.  It covers the secondary obligations which facilitate primary ones.  In fact, the Prophet r  successfully conveyed the Qur’an to mankind through the Ahadith.  H. A. R. Gibb, a scholar from the West, presents  an objective analysis of this fact (S. A. Husain, 1975, p. 5);

Man who lives in accordance to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) finds internal and external peace.  He can easily establish harmony with his immediate environment (with his family, relatives, neighbors and friends) and those outside his community. The teachings encourage smooth interpersonal relationships between and among nations. They assure mankind of universal brotherhood, equality, justice, dignity and honor, guidance and salvation. They are very practical, so full of common sense and so full of truth. They apply to every situation, every age, and every man of all walks of life. They revolve around the Islamic way of life which transcends and penetrates far beyond all barriers of race and status of wealth or prestige." Statisticians on religion take their clues about who is a Muslim primarily from culture - not from the actual number of people who have sworn allegiance to a particular faith through a moment of conversion, and then live out their profession. For example, if you are born in an Islamic country, you are automatically counted as a Muslim (unless you are born into a non-Muslim family). What does a baby know about Islam and what he believes? Nothing! Yet Islamic governments, and culture, count all of those newborns as Muslims. Even in non-Islamic countries, new children born into Muslim families are generally considered to be Muslim by birthrate.

You may have heard that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world - because Allah has made it to become so.

Islam: The Essence and Culmination of Revealed Religions

Muslims believe that the essential purpose for which mankind was created is the worship of God. As He said in the Qur'an, "And I did not create the jinn [i.e., a type of creation, created by God from fire] and mankind except to worship Me" (51:56) Related to this, a well known Islamic scholar from the West says, "The most complete system of worship available humans today is the system found in the religion of Islam, The very name 'Islam' means 'submission to the Will of God'. Although it commonly referred to as 'the third of the three monotheistic faiths, it is not a new religion at all. It is the religion brought by all the prophets of God for humankind. Islam was the religion of Adam, Abraham, Moses and Jesus.''The Purpose of Creation, Dr. A. A. B. philips, p. 49, Dar Al Fatah, Sharjah, UAE, 1995. See Qur’an 3:67; 3:84.

In addition he states, "Since there is only One God, and humankind is one species, the religion that God has ordained for humans is [essentially] one... Human spiritual and social needs are uniform and human nature has not changed since the first man and woman were created”.Ibid . p. 50.

Uncovering the fact that the message of God has always been the same, I realized it is the duty of all human beings to seek the truth and not just blindly accept the religion that their society or parents follow, According to the Qur'an, "You worship besides Him not except [mere] names you have named, you and your fathers, for which God has sent down no authority..." (12:40) Regarding fitrah [i.e., the inherent nature of man to worship God prior to the corruption of his nature by external influences], Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "Every child is born on Al-Fitrah, and his parents convert him to Judaism or Christianity or Magianism. As an animal delivers a perfect baby animal, do you find it mutilated?"[[1]Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 2, Hadith No. 467. ] Furthermore, God says,, 'So direct your face [i.e., self] toward the religion, inclining toward truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of God upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of God. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know. " Quran (30:30)

Moreover, I learned there no other religion acceptable to God besides Islam, as He clearly states in the Qur'an: "And whoever desires other than Islam as a religion, never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers. " (3:85). I deduced that man might neglect the guidance of God and establish his own standards of living. Ultimately, however, he will discover it is only a mirage that alluded him.

["Best way to live and die" By  (Yahya) Donald W. Flood] Embracing Islam has given me more of an insight into the illusive nature of this life. For instance, one basic object of Islam is the liberation of man. This is why a Muslim calls himself 'Abdullah', the slave or servant of Allah (i.e., God) because enslavement to God signifies liberation from all other forms of servitude, and although modern man may think that he is liberated, he is in fact a slave to his desires. He is generally deceived by this worldly life. He is 'addicted' to hoarding wealth, sex, violence, intoxicants, etc. But above all, he is often seduced by the capitalist system that tends to work through the invention of false needs, which he feels must be satisfied instantly, As God says in the Qur'an, "Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him? Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except as livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way. )” (25: 43-44)

I would like to become a musilim.
Is this possible? And if so, how can this happen. I do not know much.I know some things.

Praise be to Allaah.

Any human being can embrace Islam. You do not need anyone’s permission. You simply say and believe that there is No God except Allah and that Mohammad is his Messenger. Once you say this sentence, you automatically become Muslim. From there, you start carrying on with the duties of Islam. You must do what Allah and His messenger tell you to, and stay away from what they tell you to. Islam does not tell you to do anything unless it is good for you. It also does not tell you to stay away from anything unless it is bad for you. You will notice the change in the way you look at things, the minute you become a Muslim. You will feel more relieved and secure only to think that you are fulfilling the orders of Allah. Doing this, you will clearly see the benefits of it for yourself and for mankind. You can embrace Islam in any Islamic center. This is only a formality. Once you say and believe in the Oneness of Allah and in the message of his Prophet Mohammad, then you are a Muslim.

To become a Muslim, simply say the following words:

Ash hadu alla ilaha illa Allah, wa ash hadu anna Mohammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu.

This means I testify and witness that there is no god worthy of being worshipped other than ALLAH and that Mohammad is His Messenger.

You must say it and believe in it.

The well-known historians Edward Gibbon and Simon Ocklay (History of the Saracen Empire, London, 1870, p. 54) have acknowledged the concept of Unity of God and Prophet-hood of Muhammad (peace be upon him) in a very appropriate manner "I believe in One God and Mahomet the Apostle of God is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. The intellectual image of the Deity has never been degraded by any visible idol; the honours of the Prophet have never transgressed the measure of human virtue, and his living precepts have restrained the gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion."
