After 34 years of the protection of wild horses, in secret the protection has been lifted and now they can be sold for slaughter. The horses aren't over-populating and so this act is only endangering the existence of wild horses.

      January 25th, 2005, a Congressman introduced a bill to go against the one that had been signed for commercial sale of wild horses. Only approximately 37,000 wild horses are left and unless the bills are passed quickly, there will be none left.
