These designs were drawn using a free program called Emachine - http://www.emachineshop.com/machine-shop/index.php (12mb download) it is a reletively easy program to learn and it has video tutorials to teach you how to use it . It is meant so you can draw up accurate engineering type diagrams for machining so the program regularly updates itself with a price file - this is only used if you should want a quote from the Emachine people to actaully make a product for you .
I have found it to be a great program for drawing up tracks as well as many other items such as house extensions and slot car chassis, you can view a drawing in 3D if its drawn correctly - emachine help files and hints will correct a drawing easily if you have any errors. If you want to save a picture to view it or send a picture to someone that doesn't have the emachine program select ( -shift button -print screen then open microsoft paint and select paste ) from there the image you have drawn can be saved as a bitmap or JPEG so you can send it via email easily. I have no autocad training or architectural drawing background but managed to use the program , so have a go at it yourself .
A few track designs based on smaller table sizes 3 or
4 lane layouts around the size of a ping pong table
Using 3 base sheets 1.8 x 1.2 . Total table size is no larger than 3.6 x 1.8
Simple layout with a 3 metre long straight running diagonally across the table

A little more complex with a bridge overpass (not drawn in)

Based on 3 sheets 1.5 x 1.2 but slightly narrower total table size 3.6 x 1.5

This would work with the long straight against a wall
Based around the idea above but slightly wider table size total table size 3.6 x 1.8 - bridge not drawn in
