Race night and General rules

Donate your $4.00 - To the track owner then the track owner will write your name on the entrants list – if your name is not on the list then you will not be entered into the computer to race .    It is your responsibility to get your name on the entrants list !

What do I get for $ 4.00 ?    Free Tea and Coffee plus Free 1/2 time munchies and hot food

Hope you like Dim Sums , Spring rolls , sausage rolls and party pies n pasties , cheese n dips basically something hot to munch on in winter - BBQ's in summer ( salad , sauce n bread are free BYO meat )

Race fairly -  if you are about to get passed let the faster person through as cleanly as possible – it may be you that’s passing next time !

Marshalling - is done by all entrants take your turn at the corners and concentrate please – again it may be you that gets put on slowly next time !

Conduct – No over the top bad behaviour  – fighting , malicious damage , theft or extreme Verbal abuse will be tolerated    This is including the area outside where you park your real car -  I have good neighbours that don’t mind a street full of parked cars once a week , so avoid excessive noise when you arrive and leave.   Thankyou.

Racing – Will be formatted on the night to allow for the most possible track time for all people and also allow the race night to be finalised within a reasonable time frame.

Remember – you are on private property and the owner is allowing you to use the track and any other facilities at his pleasure , not yours !!

It costs the track owner real money to build a track buy the power supply , braid , paint , computer , track interface etc etc and to keep the track , lighting etc etc  maintained.   $4.00 doesn’t go far when a power supply blows up and needs replacing or if the heater is running .

Chassis set up and build rules

 A) Chassis clearance – to the track – 1.2mm minimum clearance everywhere

 B) Tyre clearance – to the track - 1mm air gap maximum (front tyres) on a flat setup board ,   No gap once the car is on the track

 C) Body clearance to the chassis – trimming to allow body movement only

 D) Axle location (rear axle) – standard location height for rear axle

 E) Axle location (front axle) – open to suit the flag / tyre relationship for best handling characteristics and wheel arch centre location subject to the maximum 1mm tyre clearance rule -  ( B )

 F) Motor location – Standard location for the chassis

 G) Flag position – Standard location for the chassis – standard flag unless the class allows modification – see the relevant car class try to keep the flag out of site on kit / resin bodies please – same thing for Hot Rods if you can thanks

 H) Ballast weight – addition of lead is ok but subject to the clearance rule ( A )

 G) Body screw holes can be opened up and the screws can have a shank filed onto them to allow the body to float easier on the chassis.

  I) Bushes – standard plastic or brass bushes only no ball bearings - keeps the costs down

J) Axles – standard or drill blank axles are ok

 K) Rims – standard or alloy rims – try to keep in scale please

 L) Tyres – to be inside the body line except where the car class allows the tyre to be outside the body limits and uncovered.

 M) Wheel inserts – It looks much better so please try to put something in to represent a true wheel

 N) Body paintwork – if you are using a kit / resin body please use a paint scheme that is relevant to the car class and car era , yes numbers are a must except in the Hot Rod class.

 O) Car interiors – Hard 3D plastic interiors / drivers in all cars except where car class allows for a vacuum formed interior as an option , those classes are;

-         Historic Trans Am

-         American Stocker / early NASCAR
