Gearing , Wheels , Axles , Tyres and Axle bushes

Gear ratios are open to the builder but must be 48 pitch only , Wheels are to represent a true scale to suit the 1/24th body shell and ideally wheel inserts to represent a wheel that was available in the 1948 - 1953 period.  Axles must be 1/8th of and inch , Oilite bushes only no ball bearing type axle bearings.  Tyres are the AMR or MJK narrow width tyre . There is a choice to use the lower profile tyre used on the 1/25th scale Trans Am cars or the taller version of the same tyre . Both tyre variants are 8mm wide

Chassis and Body track clearance

All cars are to have a minimum of 2mm track clearance - Chassis and Body

*** note in the near future other early era vacuum formed body styles may be run in this class ***

eg Valiant "S" series 1962 and the Ford Falcon coupe 1963 although these two bodies are newer than the Holden FX and FJs 1948-1956 it will allow the old Holden vs Ford vs Chrysler battle into this car class . This idea has is evolving because some of the drivers can't handle driving Holdens - Too fast for them
