Seasons Achievements

The season was a 'Season of two Halves'. In our first 8 games we gained 7 points and were joint bottom of the league. Then the rain came, and we didn't play a competitive match for 10 weeks. During this enforces break, four of the squad left, but two new players signed.

We made two tactical changes to combat the long ball game played in this division. Matthew O'Donovan became our goalkeeper and Taran Ashall moved from midfield to centre back. These two changes, coupled with a 100% effort saw the side gain 13 points from a possible 18, which included matches against the top two sides in the division. The side finished the season with an 8-1 victory to finish in fourth place. This late surge vindicated our pre-season expectations.

Special thanks to Mark O'Donovan and Peter Lloyd who have helped the boys over so many seasons and who are stepping down from their management duties.
